What we store
You do not need an account to write, sit or mark papers. Your papers and attempts are saved against a random ID stored in your browser. When you buy any paid pass, you sign in with an email address. We keep that email to send your receipt and so your pass works on every device you sign in on. Stripe handles your card details; we never see them.
Usage events
We record basic usage events in our own database, such as your country, local time of day and which feature you used, to understand how the site is used. We don't use advertising trackers.
Location and currency
We work out your country from your IP address to show prices in your local currency. The result is kept in your browser, and we don't store your IP address.
Deleting your data
Settings → Your data → Delete removes every paper, attempt and preference tied to your device. This cannot be undone.
Third parties
- Hosting and database: Base44, our hosting provider, runs the site and stores papers, attempts, passes and usage events.
- Payments: Stripe processes all payments.
- Paper generation: Anthropic (Claude) writes the papers. If it's unavailable, a backup AI model provided through our hosting provider is used. They receive the exam name, board and format you choose, and nothing that identifies you.
- Country lookup: if our host can't tell us your country, your IP address is sent to ipapi.co to look it up.
